Living Six Graces

     Simply Trudie

It's a story filled with discovery and choices, even when Trudie didn't realize it.
Trudie received Simple Abundance, A Day Book of Comfort and Joy as a birthday gift the same week it went to #1 on the NY Times Best-sellers list. She connected with the book immediately and read the daily passages year after year.

In 2008 Trudie jumped at the opportunity to train with Sarah Ban Breathnach, the author of Simple Abundance, and became certified to share the soul-felt teachings in workshops. The idea sprouted as Sarah and Trudie's words became companion plants in the gardens of bringing women together to gently explore a fuller life. One of simply abundances.

Trudie creates and nurtures her own gratitude gardens on what she fondly calls "God's Green Acre." She tends the seeds, the seedlings and re-gifted plants from family and friends. Trudie may be found sitting for hours amongst her river rocks or floating from one garden to another--always listening to the whispering of ideas for new beginnings.

Another of Trudie's simple abundances is her gratitude journal. She opened her first one after seeing Sarah Ban Breathnach's first Oprah appearance. Sarah spoke of the first principle of the book, gratitude. She explained the ritual of writing 5 gratitudes a day in her journal. Trudie finds the gratitude journal to be mind shifting. During some particularly challenging times, it helped her keep a perspective. No, actually it helped her find it. To find gratitude in tough times.

One night after listing her five gratitudes, Trudie found her pencil creating these doodlings. They were appearing all over the page. These stick figures were expressing their gratitude. They joined the nightly ritual and began taking new forms on the page. Their heads became the shape of hearts and within a circle of Trudie's friends they became known as the Heartitudes. They are filled with gratitude and the ability to live with grace. You see, they accept themselves, just as they are. They never strive for perfection, but rather live a life that moves them.

Today Trudie continues the exploration and sharing of Sarah's meaningful work as she is the conduit for the Simple Abundance Close to Home Workshops. She is grateful for this opportunity to connect with women such as you. It is a treasure to be shared.

The whisper of nature leads me to a simply abundant life.
